Winning streak to four as Lehigh downs Seton Hall and Towson

Bethlehem, PA – Lehigh continued to roll Saturday afternoon at the Lewis Tennis Center, going 2-0 on the afternoon against Seton Hall and Towson. In the first match, the Mountain Hawks jumped out early to a 4-0 lead before holding off the Pirates 4-3. Then in the second match, Lehigh flexed their muscles taking every single match to win 7-0. In the match against Seton Hall, the Mountain Hawks took the doubles point thanks to wins from captains Kristen Nowicki and Rachel Samson 8-4 over Kimberly Barfuss and Catalina Isaza and Gwen Dwyer and Starr Foster over Viviana Figueroa and Lorell Zamot 9-8 (5).
In singles, Nowicki and Samson won again, with Nowicki beating Barfuss in straight sets (6-3, 6-1) and Samson defeating Figueroa in three (6-2, 4-6, 6-4). When Dwyer took down Zamot in straight sets (6-2, 7-5), Lehigh clinched the match. Seton Hall did rally to win the last three matches to make the final closer. Seton Hall fell to 1-5 on the season with the loss.
