The teams played a scoreless first half, with Lehigh holding a commanding 11-3 lead in shots at the break. In the second half, Helwig was able to find Lewandowski who headed the ball past Luisa Miller for her team leading tenth goal of the season. Helwig picked up her team best seventh assist of the year. Erin Iwaskiewicz made four saves to record her Patriot League leading sixth shutout of the season.
Before the game the five Lehigh seniors were celebrated as the most successful class in the program’s thirteen year history. Iwaskiewicz, Helwig and fellow seniors Shannon Trexler, Jessica DiSabatino and Megan Plunkett, were honored for their four years of hard work before the match, and the team went out and sent them off with a win.
“We wanted to do it for the seniors,” said Lewandowski. “We were able to come out with a big win against Colgate.”

The Mountain Hawks are currently tied for second with American, with the top four teams making the postseason.
