Lehigh shuts out Hartford

Easton, PA – Lehigh defeated Hartford 2-0, in the Lafayette Puma Classic on Sunday afternoon. The win improves the Mountain Hawks to 2-0-1 on the season and drops Hartford to 2-2-1. Junior goalie Sam Bishop ran his consecutive scoreless streak to 290 minutes, with his third straight shutout of an opponent. Lehigh's defense continues to stifle opponents, only allowing Hartford two shots for the entire game.
      Sophomore Kevin Deger got Lehigh on the board with his first goal of the season off an assist from junior Kyle Hartman at the 54:16 mark. Hartman then sealed the win for Lehigh with a goal of his own off a feed from sophomore Kyle Hansen at the 72:35 clip. The Mountain Hawks had eight shots for the game and have now out shot their opponents 46-12 on the season.
      Lehigh returns to action Friday when they travel to Philadelphia to take on Penn in the Penn Soccer Classic. Game time is set for 2:30.
