Lehigh picks up first win of season
9/5/2003 9:31:00 AM | Men's Soccer
Easton, PA – Lehigh picked up its first win of the season with 1-0 shutout over Rider in the Lehigh-Lafayette Classic. Lehigh's defense was the key in this one as the Mountain Hawks only allowed the Broncs to get off two shots for the entire game. Junior Sam Bishop had one save in goal for Lehigh.
Sophomore Kyle Hansen scored the lone goal of the affair off of an assist from junior Kyle Hartman at the 67:58 clip of the game. It proved to be enough as the Mountain Hawks stingy defense never allowed Rider any opportunities on the offensive end.
Lehigh returns to action on Sunday when it takes on Hartford in the Lehigh-Lafayette Classic in Easton. Game time is slated for 1:00.
