Why Lehigh? “Lehigh has a great engineering program and a great wrestling program. I also wanted to attend a prestigious school that is local.”
In 2023-24: Competed at Princeton Open, Sheridan Tournament and David H. Lehman F&M Open… posted one victory at both Princeton Open and Sheridan Tournament.
In 2022-23: Posted 7-4 record in open tournaments at 285… won Wilkes Open in late December, also placed at Princeton Open and Shorty Hitchcock Memorial Classic.
In 2021-22: Wrestled 13 bouts in open tournament competition… competed at Clarion Open, Mat Town Open I, GMU Patriot Open, F&M Open and Edinboro Open… won one bout in each of first three tournaments.
In 2020-21: Did not wrestle in any official matches.
In high school: All-Area selection… District XI and Northeast Regional champion… PIAA AAA State Qualifier… went 32-4 as a senior… All-EPC football player… graduated fourth in his class… served as class president.
Personal: Son of Ibtesam and Abed Chakif… brothers Antonyous and Joseph… Antonyous attends Lehigh.
