Maggie Gallagher enters her second year with the Mountain Hawks in 2016-17 as the Director of Operations.
Gallagher joins the Mountain Hawks after a four-year career at Marist. A three-time MAAC All-Academic Team member, Gallagher excelled both on and off the court for the Red Foxes. The Stormville, N.Y. native served as a team captain during her senior season and helped Marist to three-straight NCAA Tournament appearances from 2012-14 and a WNIT appearance in 2015. Gallagher was a member of Dean’s List throughout her entire collegiate career and was named a nominee for the WBCA Good Works Team for her commitment to leadership, enriching the lives of others and contributing to the greater good in her community. In addition to her work on the court and in the classroom, Gallagher coached an AAU team for two years while in college, was a member of Marist’s Student Athlete Advisory Committee and an intern in the Marist Sports Information Department. Gallagher graduated with a bachelor’s degree in communications with a sports communications concentration and tallied a 3.67 grade point average.

“Maggie joins our staff after a highly successful career at Marist University where she was a part of three championship programs,” said Troyan. “She brings a great work ethic, a strong understanding of the demands placed on the student-athlete experience, and an understanding of what it takes to be successful both in the classroom and on the court. We believe Maggie will serve as a wonderful role model in her role as our DOBO as all of these qualities will serve as great examples for our student-athletes to emulate in their experiences at Lehigh.”
