Micir Named to Watch List for Delaney-Smith Mid-Major Coach of the Year Award

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Lehigh head coach Addie Micir has been named to the preseason watch list for the Kathy Delaney-Smith Mid-Major Coach of the Year Award, presented by Her Hoop Stats. Micir is one of 20 coaches from 13 mid-major conferences named to the watch list for the award, which is named after the former Harvard head coach.
The 2025 Patriot League Coach of the Year, Micir enters her fourth year as Lehigh's head coach and her her seventh in the Brown and White. Last year, Micir led Lehigh to one of its most successful campaigns in program history. The Mountain Hawks won 27 games, the third most in program history, and won Patriot League regular season and tournament titles as Lehigh returned to the NCAA Tournament for the fifth time in program history and the first time since 2021.
To be eligible for the Kathy Delaney-Smith Mid-Major Coach of the Year Award, coaches must compete in one of 26 conferences deemed to be "mid-major." The 10-coach midseason watch list will be announced in January with five finalists announced in March and the winner unveiled at the Final Four.
Kathy Delaney-Smith's Harvard teams compiled a record of 630-434 (.592) in her 40-year career, including a 367-168 (.685) record in Ivy League play. Delaney-Smith's 630 wins rank 32nd in Division I history.
The Mountain Hawks will open the 2025-26 season at Big 12 member Cincinnati, Tuesday, Nov. 4 with game time set for 6:30 p.m. Lehigh's home opener will be Nov. 11 at Stabler Arena against La Salle.
