AS A FRESHMAN (2011): Close defenseman was team’s top rookie coming in among the Inside Lacrosse top 100 incoming freshmen … One of only four Mountain Hawks to start all 16 games … Finished with 29 groundballs (second among close defensemen) and eight caused turnovers … Only turned the ball over seven times … Twice named Honorable Mention on the Patriot League Weekly Honor Roll … Scooped two groundballs in the Patriot League Semifinals at #12 Bucknell (4/29) … Also had two groundballs vs. No. 9 North Carolina (4/17) … Posted two groundballs and a caused turnover against No.12 Bucknell (4/15) … Two groundballs vs. #20 Colgate (4/9) … Tied a career-high four groundballs and caused a turnover against #20 Penn State (4/2) … Sensational game at Holy Cross (3/26), setting a career-high four groundballs while recording a caused turnover in helping hold the Crusaders to only five goals … Scooped two groundballs at #8 Army (3/22) … Impressed at #18 Yale (3/12) with a career-high three groundballs to go with a caused turnover … Two groundballs at #13 Ohio State (3/8) … Did not allow a goal to Taylor Reynolds as part of historic 14-10 win over Navy (3/1) … Recorded two groundballs and a caused turnover in collegiate debut against Saint Joseph’s (2/12) … Named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll.
BEFORE LEHIGH: Four-year letterwinner on Emmaus High School’s lacrosse team … Served as team captain as a junior and senior … Named All-PVLL sophomore year and All-LVC junior and senior years … Was a member of the Philly Under Armor All-American Underclassmen Team in 2009 … Among Inside Lacrosse’s top 100 incoming freshmen … Multi-sport athlete, garnering All-LVC as a linebacker on the football team … Team MVP senior year … East Penn Male Athlete of the Year in 2010 … Strong in the classroom, as an Emmaus Football Scholar Athlete while cracking the honor roll.
