WHY LEHIGH? “I chose Lehigh because it’s a great school academically and because I knew all the hills would give me some beautifully defined calf muscle.”
AS A SOPHOMORE (2012): Short-stick defensive midfielder who saw increased action, playing in all 17 games … Posted 16 groundballs and eight caused turnovers … Scooped a pair of groundballs in NCAA First Round Game vs. #10 Maryland (5/13) … Tied a career-high three groundballs while causing a turnover in Patriot League Championship at #10 Colgate (4/29) … Two groundballs and a caused turnover in Patriot League Semifinals vs. #19 Army (4/27) … Scooped a GB against #18 Bucknell (4/14) … Finished with one two groundballs and a caused turnover at #17 Colgate (4/7) … Had a groundball and caused turnover as part of strong defensive effort at #19 Navy (3/30) … Posted a career-high three groundballs and two caused turnovers at #17 Penn State (3/20).
AS A FRESHMAN (2011): Saw action in seven games … Significant minutes in season opener vs. Saint Joseph’s (2/12), scooping two groundballs and causing a turnover … Also played against Villanova (2/19), Navy (3/1), Detroit Mercy (3/6), #13 Ohio State (3/8), Presbyterian (3/19) and Holy Cross (3/26).
BEFORE LEHIGH: Played three years of varsity lacrosse at St. Albans School, earning All-IAC in 2009 and Washington Post All-District in 2009 and ’10 … Won the Coaches Award in 2010 … Also a three-year member of the football team, which won the IAC Championship in 2007 and ’09 … All-IAC in ’09 as well … Also competed one year of varsity wrestling … A member of the Headmaster’s Academic List in the 10th and 12th grades.
PERSONAL: Son of Jim and Patricia Cahill … Has two sisters, Maggie (21) and April (20).

What’s your favorite thing about Lehigh? There are a lot of great things about Lehigh, but if I had to pinpoint one, it would probably be the people. I couldn’t ask for better teammates or a better group of friends.
Major & Why: Mechanical Engineering. I chose MECH because I like a bit of a challenge and I have always enjoyed problem solving.
