2023 (JUNIOR SEASON)
Appeared in eight games for the Brown and White with a 1-0 record and 10.2 innings pitched... The first outing of the year was the longest of the season, throwing 5.0 scoreless frames with just two hits and a couple of strikeouts... Recorded the lone win of the season against Utah Valley, throwing 1.1 innings allowing one run and one hits with two walks and a strikeout (3/10)...

2022 (SOPHOMORE SEASON)
Made 14 appearances in relief for the Mountain Hawks with a 1-2 record and one save in 29.1 innings of action... Garnered the first win of his career when he went 3.2 innings with two strikeouts and allowed three runs on seven hits against Army West Point (5/7)... Credited with a save in a win over Mount St. Mary's, tossing 2.0 scoreless frames without a hit and struck out a season-high three batters...

2021 (FIRST YEAR SEASON)
Played a limited amount of action, but was strong in five relief appearances, tallying a 1.64 ERA over 11.0 innings of work...struck out 12 batters and walked just four...struck out two or more batters in each of his final four outings...struck out a career-high four batters at Army (4/18)...named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll.

BEFORE LEHIGH
Thompson was a three-year varsity letterman during his high school career and was named a Perfect Game Preseason All-American in 2020. According to the publication, he is the 19th-ranked right-handed pitcher in Pennsylvania for the Class of 2020 and the 52nd overall player. In the classroom, Thompson graduated with a 4.37 GPA, and earned the AP Scholar Award with distinction. He was a member of the National Honors Society and won the Rensselaer Medal Award for Math and Science.
