Carvelli heads to Bethlehem by way of Saint Joseph High School in Metuchen, N.J. The Flemington. N.J. native was a three-year starting Varsity center fielder who amassed 107 career high school hits. He batted .362 in his senior season with 27 runs and 30 RBIs. He was a two-time Greater Middlesex Conference (GMC) All-Area Team selection and a three-time GMC Red Division Team selection. Carvelli was named a Perfect Game Preseason All-American 2 times and All-Region 4 times and was a top 500 nationally ranked recruit and one of the top outfielders in the state of New Jersey. Carvelli also excelled as a student, being named to the Principal’s honor roll in grades 10-12, graduating Magna Cum Laude.
