2015 (FIFTH SEASON)
Spent the season as a key weekend starter, making eight starts and 14 appearances…finished with a 3.67 ERA and 40 strikeouts in 54 innings…earned the win in Lehigh’s 18-1 victory over DeSales after tossing 4.0 one-run innings…threw 2.2 scoreless, two-hit frames in game two of the Patriot League Championship series at Navy…allowed just one hit in seven innings at Fairleigh Dickinson…picked up a save in a 9-2 win over Saint Joseph’s after throwing 3.2 one-run innings.

2014 (SENIOR SEASON)
Saw limited action due to injury, but was very successful in his few stints on the mound…recorded a perfect 0.00 ERA in 5.2 innings of work, three of which were against Patriot League opponents…kept Army scoreless for three innings while allowing just two hits in the regular-season finale to earn Patriot League Pitcher of the Week recognition on May 5…got the start against nationally-ranked Seton Hall, giving up just two hits and one unearned run.

2013 (JUNIOR SEASON)
Made six appearances, including four starts…pitched six innings while allowing three hits and striking out as many batters against Fordham…threw a season-high 6.1 innings and struck out five to get a victory against Coppin State…got a win in three consecutive outings from Feb.27 to March 10.
 
2012 (SOPHOMORE SEASON)
Did not see any action.

2011 (FRESHMAN SEASON)
Appeared in nine games, making seven starts…posted a 4.96 ERA over his 32.2 innings pitched, striking out 30…finished the season with a 3-3 record…allowed three runs on seven hits over 5.0 innings in his first start against Bowling Green…tossed 3.2 scoreless innings of relief, allowing one hit and striking out four to earn his first win of the season…allowed one run on six hits over 5.0 innings to earn the win over NJIT…gave up two runs on seven hits over 5.2 innings of work and earned the win over Penn.

BEFORE LEHIGH
Jayme (J.R.) Edwards is a pitcher coming to Lehigh from Cardinal Newman High School in Wellington, Florida. Edwards has been named first team All-Area by the Palm Beach Post as an infielder/pitcher, first team All-County by the Sun Sentinel as a pitcher, first team All-Conference as a pitcher, in his senior year, as well as second team All-Conference as a shortstop in his junior year. A team captain his senior year, Edwards received the Crusader Award for baseball, and led small schools in strikeouts with 90, ranking second overall in the county. A district champion as a junior and senior, Edwards was selected to the Dick Howser All-Star Game as a third baseman and pitcher, batting .403 while owning 2.36 ERA in 56 1/3 innings on the mound. Edwards also pitched for the 2009 Florida Surge Select Team that won the 2009 Triple Crown Nationals in Auburndale, Florida.
