2003 All-Patriot League … chosen as Patriot League Player of the Week three times in career … named second team All-East by the American Baseball Coaches Association and Rawlings in 2002 … owns a Patriot League record with a 28-game hitting streak and set Lehigh single season records with 51 games played, 186 at-bats, 70 hits and 50 runs scored … batted fifth best in the league with a .353 average in 2003 … career batting average of .364 is fourth all-time at Lehigh … catalyst of offense as he led team in batting average and on-base percentage during the 2003 season … 2003 summer league, member of Petersburg Generals of the Coastal Plains League … was the MVP of his high school team as a senior … son of Herb and Barbara Hoffman, brother Andrew is an outfielder at Pittsburgh.
