The team’s primary first baseman the past two seasons … showcased his excellent defensive abilities, recording a stellar .987 fielding percentage in 2003 … batted .325, 3rd highest average on the squad, with an on-base percentage of .388 in 2003 … as a freshman, started 23 games at first base, while tallying 21 hits and seven RBI’s … 2003 summer league, member of Reston Hawks of the Clark Griffith League … a tight end on the Patriot League champion Lehigh football team two seasons ago year in addition to playing baseball … in high school, earned All-District and All-Region honors on the diamond … hit .400 in three years of Varsity action … as a senior, was named the US Army Reserve National Scholar-Athlete of the Year.
