Why Lehigh: “I’ve been around Lehigh all my life and wanted to be a part of its great academic and wrestling tradition.”
In 2007-08: Deferred eligibility… went 11-6 in open tournaments… placed fourth at the Wilkes Open with 6-2 record… also competed at East Stroudsburg, Penn State and Edinboro Opens… went 2-2 at Northeast Senior Freestyle Championships.
In secondary school: Two-time state qualifier… placed fourth in AAA at 152 as a senior… career record of 126-29… junior freestyle national qualifier and cadet national qualifier… 2005 state Cadet champion… three time member of PWCA State Academic Team.
Personal: Son of Steve (Lehigh ’81) and Marge (Lehigh ’80) Tanen… brothers Joe (25), Robert (23) and Nick (17)… sister Sarah (23)… holds a 3.61 grade point average.
