In 2008-09: Enjoyed breakout season that concluded with first NCAA Tournament berth following a third place finish at the EIWA Championships… went 1-2 at Nationals… ranked second among regulars with 28 victories… ranked among the team leaders with five falls, including 47 second pin of Illinois’ Joe Barczak… placed seventh at Las Vegas Invitational… scored late takedown to upset Oklahoma State’s Brandon Mason as the Mountain Hawks upset the Cowboys at the Northeast Duals.
In 2007-08: Started every dual meet at 165 for the Mountain Hawks… placed sixth at the EIWA Championships, finishing one win shy of probable NCAA qualification… recorded three falls and four bonus wins… pinned nationally ranked Stephen Dwyer of Nebraska in November dual… picked up 23 second win by fall over Chris Rigoglioso of Rutgers… captured second straight University Freestyle National Championship at 174.
In 2006-07: Began season as starter at 165 before academic issues prematurely ended season… won eight of 13 bouts with three bonus wins… went 6-0 to win title at 79 kg at University Freestyle Nationals in April… placed fourth at Northeast Regional Freestyle Championships… went 7-2 at prestigious Canada Cup freestyle event, to earn fourth place.
In 2005-06: Deferred eligibility…went 3-2 competing in the CNJ and Edinboro Opens… placed second at 163 lb. weight class at the FILA junior national freestyle championships…outscored his first four opponents in the tournament by a combined 46-1 score.

Personal: Son of Tony and Janet Galante… brother Joe (25)… enjoys golf in his spare time and has three career hole-in-ones on the golf course.
