2014 (SENIOR SEASON)

Had a standout senior season, leading the Patriot League in saves (7)…named second team All-Patriot League  and All-Tournament team…finished the season with five wins and seven saves, making him one of 14 Division I pitchers to lead his team in both wins and saves…tallied a 3.07 ERA throughout the season, which ranked third on the team…led the team in appearances (19) and games finished (15)…pitched 5.0 scoreless innings in the deciding game three of the Patriot League semifinal series at Army to earn the win and help Lehigh to its first championship berth since 2006…earned three saves at two wins in regular-season Patriot League play…struck out a season-high five batters against Mount St. Mary’s and NJIT… awarded the Anderson-Hartzell Pitching Award at the end of the season.

2013 (JUNIOR SEASON)
Appeared in 11 games, including nine starts…picked up a win giving up eight hits, allowing just one run and striking out four batters in seven innings of work in the nightcap of a doubleheader at LIU Brooklyn…had a season-best five strikeouts in 5.1 innings pitched against Army…struck out a career-best 32 batters.

2012 (SOPHOMORE SEASON)
Appeared in 12 games, making 10 starts on the mound for the Mountain Hawks…allowed one unearned run on three hits in 6.0 innings to earn the win at Davidson College…allowed three runs on six hits over a career-high 7.0 innings but suffered the loss in the second half of a doubleheader against Lafayette…struck out a season-high five batters in 4.2 innings at Navy.

2011 (FRESHMAN SEASON)
Made eight appearances, starting three games…started the season with a 7.2 scoreless innings streak from March 20 – April 6…allowed three runs on six hits over a season-high 6.0 innings of relief in the second half of a doubleheader against Lafayette…earned his first collegiate win after allowing five runs on nine hits over 5.1 innings against Army…allowed three earned runs on seven hits in 5.1 innings to earn the win over Bucknell.

BEFORE LEHIGH
A pitcher from Cranbrook Kingswood High School in Kingswood, Michigan, Nick Cassell was named first team All-District, first-team All Conference, Metro Conference and Cranbrook Kingswood Team MVP as well as Academic All-State. Cassell was member of Cranbrook Kingswood team that won the Metro Conference title in 2009 and 2010.
