AS A JUNIOR (2012): Finished season with 12 points via nine goals and three assists in all 17 games (nine starts) … One of nine Mountain Hawks with double-digit points … Eight of his 12 points came over his last eight games … Posted first-career hat trick in Patriot League Championship Game at #10 Colgate (4/29) … Got the scoring started with a goal vs. #19 Army (4/27) … Dished an assist in the regular season finale at Lafayette (4/21) … Scored a big goal at #17 Colgate (4/7) with only five seconds left in the first quarter … Broke Lehigh’s 22:21 scoreless drought with a big goal at #19 Navy (3/30) to spark an 8-0 run to end the game … Posted a goal against Holy Cross (3/24) … Scored a career-high two goals and added an assist in the season opener at Saint Joseph’s (2/11).
 
AS A SOPHOMORE (2011): Strong sophomore campaign as one of team’s primary defensive midfielders … Played in all 16 games … Posted four points (three goals, one assist) while scooping 28 groundballs (fifth on the team) … Also caused eight turnovers … Dished first assist of the season while adding three groundballs and a caused turnover vs. #9 UNC (4/17) … Posted two groundballs and a caused turnover against #12 Bucknell (4/15) … Goal and two groundballs vs. Binghamton (3/29) … Scored a goal and added three groundballs vs. Presby­terian (3/19) … Finished with three groundballs at #18 Yale (3/12) … Scooped a career-high six groundballs at Detroit Mercy (3/6) … Scored first-career goal at Villanova (2/19) ... AS A FRESHMAN (2010): Saw time in 14 games … Recorded three assists … Scooped five groundballs.
 
BEFORE LEHIGH: Helped lead Deerfield Academy to a 15-1 record, finishing No. 10 in the country … Was the seventh-ranked postgraduate by Inside Lacrosse … Scored 25 goals and had 19 assists as a senior in high school … Senior captain … Team made semifinals for MIAA playoffs two years in a row … First Team All-Examiner … Second Team All-Digital Sports.
 
PERSONAL: Son of Alan and Vicki Hess. Has one sibling, Josh who is currently pursuing a graduate degree at the University of Alabama after earning his undergraduate degree at Clemson.
