Why Lehigh? “It had all I was looking for with accordance to academics as well as athletics. I am looking forward to majoring in mechanical engineering and Lehigh has one of the best engineering programs in the country. I was recruited to wrestle and I am very fortunate as well as grateful to be wrestling for a top ten nationally ranked Division 1 wrestling program.”

In 2010-11: Enjoyed breakout season, going 19-7, primarily at 184… competed in six tournaments, placing in five of them… won the UB Open in November and the National Collegiate Open in February… placed seventh at the prestigious Midlands Championships, giving Lehigh two of the top eight at 184… moved up to 197 to defeat Caylor Williams of UNC Greensboro 11-5 to win only dual appearance of the season at the Virginia Duals.In 2009-10: Made impressive improvements, posting 12-7 record in four open tournaments… went 4-1 to place second at the Wilkes Open in December… won four bouts at season-opening UB Open… placed seventh at 185 at University Freestyle Nationals in April.
In 2008-09: Posted 7-7 record, competing primarily in open tournaments… picked up first career varsity dual win, 6-5 decision over Appalachian State’s Dylan Temple at Northeast Duals… two of seven victories were by fall… competed at Buffalo, East Stroudsburg, Nittany Lion and Edinboro Opens.
In 2007-08: Thrust into the starting lineup midseason at 184… displayed tremendous athleticism but lacked college wrestling experience… picked up only win of season at East Stroudsburg Open… went 0-2 at both University Nationals and the Northeast Regional tournament.
In secondary school: Holds career and single season win records at Fordham Prep… undefeated in the CHSAA in last two years of high school… placed fifth in the state at 189 as a junior… Cadet and Junior nationals qualifier... four year member of Principal’s honor roll.
Personal: Son of Denise Davis… brothers Patrick Stanford (25), Solomon Ellis (17) and Quinton Ellis (11)… enjoys football, basketball and track.
