Why Lehigh? “I chose Lehigh because of the great academics and athletics, along with the great sense of tradition here.”
On Coach Cassese: “Coach Cassese is a great coach. He obviously understands what is going on with players because he still is one as well. Also, he does everything for a reason, which I think is a very good and unique trait to have for a coach. He wants all the best for his players.”
On the Lehigh student-athlete experience: “It means a lot to be a Lehigh student-athlete. It gives you a sense of family with lacrosse and community with all the athletes. Being an athlete at Lehigh is something you can say for the rest of your life.”
Player Profile: As a junior … played in all 15 games, starting in two … scored 21 goals, and recorded six assists … member of the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll … As a sophomore… saw action in 10 games, started in two… scored six goals and added one assists for the Mountain Hawks… In high school… named first team all-division in 2005 and 2006… was first team all conference and second team all-county in 2006… was a member of the pop club and key club.
Personal: Son of Robert and Cynthia Bienemann. Has one sister, Lauren, and a brother, Greg.
