Fandre, Lind and Edwards Named to All-League Teams

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Patriot League announced its women's basketball major awards Friday afternoon.
Senior forward Lily Fandre was named to the First Team All-Patriot League. Junior forward Whitney Lind earned Third Team All-Patriot League honors, while first-year forward Leia Edwards was named to the Patriot League All-Rookie Team.
Senior Lily Fandre had a standout season, earning First Team All-Patriot League honors after leading the league in scoring with an average of 16.6 points per game while shooting an efficient 42.2 percent from the field. Fandre also earned Patriot League Player of the Week honors twice during the season.
She elevated her play during conference action, averaging a league-best 18.5 points per game in Patriot League contests. Fandre scored 20 or more points 12 times this season, including a career-high 32 points in a win at Loyola on Jan. 21. She also reached double figures in 22 of 27 games for the Mountain Hawks, providing consistent offensive production throughout the year.
Junior Whitney Lind had an impressive season, earning Third Team All-Patriot League honors while averaging 13.9 points per game. She shot 41 percent from the field and 36 percent from three-point range. Lind scored a career-high 26 points in Lehigh's season-opening win at Cincinnati on Nov. 4. She reached double figures in 14 of the team's 20 games this season and scored 20 or more points four times.
First-year Leia Edwards had an outstanding rookie season, earning Patriot League All-Rookie Team honors. In 13 games, she averaged 13.4 points per game while shooting an impressive 48.4 percent from the field. Edwards was named Patriot League Rookie of the Week four times.
She reached double figures in 10 of her 13 games and scored 20 or more points three times, highlighted by a 22-point, double-double performance in a win over Bucknell on Jan. 3.
