Lehigh Battles Drexel To 1-1 Draw

BETHLEHEM. Pa - The Mountain Hawks battled Drexel to a 1-1 draw on Thursday night at the Ulrich Sports Complex.

Drexel got on the board in the 38th minute off a ball that was bouncing around in the box. Dragon Liv Brocious was credited with the goal.

In the 54th minute, Summer Hill sent a cross to first-year Savannah Conner who put the ball in the net for her second goal of the season to even the score at 1-1.

Drexel picked up momentum in the final minutes, but was unable to find the go-ahead goal. In the final ten minutes, the Dragons had five shots and seven corners.

The Dragons outshot Lehigh 12-8 and out-cornered the Mountain Hawks 10-1.

Senior goalkeeper Maggie Ousouljoglou played the opening 45, recording one save. Junior R'Reeyah Mabry-Francis came in for the second half and made three saves. Drexel's Sammy Widnick made two saves in the game.

Kickoff was delayed an hour due to lightning in the area.
