Wenger Wins Patriot League Offensive Player Of The Week

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Senior Beckett Wenger was named the Patriot League Offensive Player of the Week, the league announced on Monday afternoon. Wenger tallied a goal and an assist in Lehigh's 2-1 victory over Loyola on Saturday to open Patriot League play.
Wenger made his return to the pitch for the first time since August 25 after missing time with an injury and made an immediate impact for the Mountain Hawks. The senior netted his first goal of the season in the 35th minute before assisting on Trey Sheeler's game-winner in the 53rd minute to help Lehigh begin the Patriot League campaign 1-0.
Junior Trey Sheeler and sophomore Anton Kinnunen both earned honorable mentions from the league for their efforts in Saturday's triumph.
The Mountain Hawks return to the pitch tomorrow at 7 p.m. on the road against Marist University.
