BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Lehigh's six NCAA qualifiers learned their seeds and first round opponents Wednesday night as seeds and brackets for next week's NCAA Championships in Philadelphia were officially announced.

Senior Malyke Hines (149) and sophomore Caden Rogers (184) earned at-large bids Tuesday, joining Lehigh's four individual EIWA champions and giving the Mountain Hawks six wrestlers that will compete at Wells Fargo Center March 20-22.

Three Mountain Hawks earned top eight seeds with all three set to begin their tournaments against familiar opponents.

Graduate student heavyweight Owen Trephan earned the No. 4 seed behind his 21-0 record and EIWA title. Trephan will open his tournament against No. 29 Ashton Davis of Cornell. In January, Trephan defeated Davis by technical fall in Lehigh's dual at Cornell.

Senior Michael Beard is seeded fifth at 197 and will open against No. 28 Payton Thomas of Navy. Beard and Thomas met twice this season, most recently in the EIWA semifinals where Beard won by fall.

Junior Sheldon Seymour picked up the No. 8 seed at 125 with his first match at the NCAA Championships serving as a rematch of the EIWA finals. Seymour will face No. 25 Charlie Farmer of Army. Seymour beat Farmer 6-0 in the EIWA finals and also owns a 7-4 decision over the Black Knight.

True first-year EIWA Champion Logan Rozynski is seeded 21st at 157 and will open his tournament against the No. 12 seed Caleb Fish of Oklahoma State.

Hines enters his fifth NCAA Championships as the No. 25 seed at 149 and will open his tournament against No. 8 Jordan Williams of Little Rock.

Rogers will be the first Mountain Hawk on the mats March 20 in Philadelphia. He is seeded 32nd at 184 and will wrestle a pigtail bout against No. 33 TJ McDonnell of Oregon State. The winner gets top seed Carter Starocci of Penn State.

Seeds and brackets remain subject to change until the start of the tournament.

Action at the 94th NCAA Championships begins Thursday March 20 from Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, and runs through Saturday March 22. There will be no Lehigh audio coverage of this year's tournament but the entire tournament will be televised on the ESPN family of networks with streaming video of every mat available on ESPN+.
