BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Basketball is back at Stabler Arena on Saturday afternoon as Lehigh men's basketball welcomes Army West Point for Salute to Service presented by Weis Markets.. The game is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m.

Lehigh (6-8, 1-2 PL) and Army West Point (7-8, 1-2 PL) first met back in 1906-07 and have played a total of 119 times, with the Black Knights leading the series 70-49. The Mountain Hawks split the season series with the Black Knights in 2023-24, dropping a 68-57 decision at home on February 7 before winning 85-54 on February 21 in West Point. Army West Point owns a 6-4 advantage over Lehigh in the series' last ten meetings.

If Lehigh wins, they would earn their seventh win of the season and improve to 2-2 in Patriot League play. Brett Reed's all-time record against the Black Knights would move to 24-14 with a win.

The Mountain Hawks played their third Patriot League game and second-straight road contest on Wednesday evening at Cotterell Court against the Colgate Raiders. Sophomore Nasir Whitlock had a career-night, but a double-double from fifth-year Jeff Woodward fueled the Raiders to a 67-62 second half comeback victory. Lehigh shot 34.3% (23-67) from the floor and 33.3% (9-27) from distance while Colgate went 43.9% (25-57) from the floor and 23.8% (5-21) from three. After reaching a career-high of 20 points last Thursday against Bucknell, Whitlock surpassed that mark with a 23-point performance on 10-17 from the field. Cam Gillus scored 11 points with seven rebounds and five assists.

The Black Knights enter Saturday's game after picking up their first Patriot League win of the season 74-72 over Loyola (Md.) on Wednesday. Army West Point suffered losses to Colgate and Boston U. to open their league slate. Head coach Kevin Kuwik is in his second season with the Black Knights after going 10-22 with a 6-12 mark in Patriot League play last season. The team returns senior guard Jalen Rucker after he missed the entire 2023-24 season, and he currently leads the league in scoring with 18.5 points per game. Sophomores Josh Scovens and Ryan Curry play big roles for the Black Knights, averaging 15.9 and 12.2 points per game respectively.

Following Saturday's game, the Mountain Hawks hit the road once again to take on Boston University at Case Gymnasium on Wednesday, January 15 at 6 p.m.

Saturday's game will be broadcast on ESPN+ and can be listened to on Fox Sports 94.7 FM and 1230 AM.
