Gonzalez and Kingson Earn Patriot League Weekly Awards

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Lehigh men's soccer took home a trio of Patriot League weekly awards, as announced Monday afternoon after the Mountain Hawks defeated Boston University 3-1 on Sept. 28.
First-year forward Aiden Gonzalez was named the Patriot League Offensive Player of the Week and the Patriot League Rookie of the Week while senior midfielder Perry Kingson was named the Patriot League Midfielder of the Week.
This marks the first honors for Gonzalez after he recorded a brace against the Terriers. Gonzalez netted the opening goal in the 41st minute, which also marked the first collegiate goal for the Wilmington, Del., native. Gonzalez helped secure the win for Lehigh after he scored his second goal of the game in the 68th minute to give Lehigh its third and final goal of the game.
This is also the first Patriot League weekly honors for Kingson. Kingson tallied a team-high of two assists after assisting both of Gonzalez's goals. Kingson's two assists marked a career-high.
The Mountain Hawks return to action on Tuesday when they host Marist at 6 p.m. at the Ulrich Sports Complex. Tuesday's game will be broadcast on ESPN+.
