Mountain Hawks Fall To Boston University 3-0 On Saturday

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Led by two goals from Payton Anderson, the Boston University Terriers (4-4, 1-1 PL) defeated Lehigh 3-0 on Saturday in Boston.
The Terriers struck first on a penalty corner in the final minute of the first quarter, as Anderson gave Boston U. a 1-0 lead heading into the second quarter.
In the first half, the Mountain Hawks outshot the Terriers 8-5 and out-cornered the home team 6-2.
Following intermission, the Terriers earned a penalty corner in the opening minute. Anderson connected for her second goal of the afternoon, extending Boston U.'s lead to 2-0 with 14:20 left in the third quarter.
Boston U. solidified the league win with a final goal in the fourth quarter, defeating Lehigh 3-0 on Saturday.
Senior goalkeeper Jenny Canoni recorded nine saves while the Terriers' Kate Thomason had seven.
The Terriers outshot Lehigh 17-15 with corners knotted at 9-9. Fifth-year Julia Gatelein tallied five shots while junior Kiki Mes added four.
Lehigh (4-4, 1-1 PL) has a quick turnaround, heading to Merrimack tomorrow for a 12 p.m. contest.
