Mountain Hawks Ready For Patriot League Championships On The Cooper River

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Lehigh women's rowing is set to compete on Friday at the Patriot League championships. Races are set to begin at 8 a.m. on the Cooper River in Pennsauken, N.J.
The entirety of the event will take place on Friday with varsity eight, second varsity eight and varsity four races. Lehigh will compete against Patriot League members Boston University, Bucknell, Colgate, Georgetown, Holy Cross, Loyola (Md.), MIT and Navy.
Navy won last year's Patriot League championship after scoring 51 points with a win in the varsity eight race and second place finishes in the second varsity and varsity four races. Lehigh placed eighth out of the nine competing programs. The Mountain Hawks' second varsity eight earned a first-place finish in the petite final.
After the initial heats in the morning, the afternoon sessions depend on qualifying for either the grand or petite finals. The 2024 Patriot League Champion will be crowned after the conclusion of the first varsity grand final and the winning team receives the Patriot League's automatic berth to the NCAA Championship.
