Three Mountain Hawks Land on CSC Academic All-District Team

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Caitlin Deitch, Mairin Ludwig and Natalie Martin of Lehigh women's swimming and diving were all named to the College Sports Communications Academic All-District Team, as announced Tuesday afternoon.Â
To be eligible for the All-District Team, student-athletes must have a 3.50 cumulative GPA and land in first through eighth place at a conference championship meet. First-year student-athletes are not eligible for Academic All-District or Academic All-America honors.
This is Deitch and Ludwig's first time landing on the All-District Team and the second straight year that Martin achieved the honor.Â
Deitch is a junior mechanical engineering major from Arnold, Md. Deitch carries a 3.64 GPA. She tallied a seventh-place finish and landed on the podium at the Patriot League Championships, taking second place in the 800-yard freestyle relay.Â
Ludwig holds a 3.74 GPA in political science. The sophomore also landed on the first team All-Patriot League following a phenomenal performance at the Patriot League Championships, finishing second in the 800-yard freestyle relay, fourth place in the 1650-yard freestyle and fifth place in the 200-yard freestyle,Â
Martin, a junior, from Arlington, Va, holds a 3.93 GPA in computer science. Martin tallied a sixth-place finish in the 1650-yard freestyle and a sixth-place finish in the 200-yard butterfly at the Patriot League Championships.Â
