BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Lehigh Athletics has announced that seats for the highly-anticipated wrestling match between the 21st-ranked Mountain Hawks and No. 1 Penn State, set for Sunday, December 8 at PPL Center in Allentown are now sold out.
Â
A capacity crowd is expected on match day. The last Lehigh-Penn State match at PPL Center in December 2017 drew a Lehigh home dual meet record crowd of 9,896.
Â
"We are looking forward to returning to PPL Center for our dual vs. Penn State" said Rich Haas, Lehigh Assistant Athletic Director for Sales and Marketing. "Lehigh has the most loyal wrestling fans in the country, and it will be an electric atmosphere on December 8."
Â
Penn State's last four duals at Lehigh have produced the four largest home dual crowds in Lehigh wrestling history. In addition to the inaugural PPL Center dual in 2017, Penn State visits to Stabler Arena in 2019 and 2022 featured more than 6,000 fans in attendance.
Â
Due to the sellout crowd, fans with tickets to the match are strongly encouraged to reserve their parking in advance. Parking is available to pre-purchase in multiple locations for PPL Center events through pplcenter.parkmobile.io. We also encourage fans to arrive early to ensure seamless entry to the event. PPL Center will open at 12:30 p.m. on December 8.
Â
Fans without tickets can watch the match live in the Lehigh Valley on Service Electric Network. The dual will also be streamed on FloWrestling.org.
Â
Lehigh (1-1) will be off for Thanksgiving weekend and will return to action with the Penn State match at PPL Center on December 8.
Â
The 2024-25 Lehigh wrestling season is presented by the Historic Hotel Bethlehem.
