Albrecht Named Player of the Week

BETHLEHEM, Pa. -  Lehigh women's basketball's Maddie Albrecht was named the Patriot League Player of the Week, as announced Monday afternoon. 

This is the first honor of Albrecht's career and the third of the season for Lehigh, as Ella Stemmer earned the award twice earlier this season. 

Albrecht helped guide the Mountain Hawks to a 2-0 week after a career-high week, averaging 22 points, 6.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.5 steals. 

The senior guard recorded a career-high of 27 points after going 10-of 13 from the field in the 79-61 win against Colgate on Jan. 22. Albrecht also grabbed six rebounds, dished out three assists, tallied three steals and a block. 

Alrbecht followed that up with another dominating performance to help knock off a Holy Cross team that was undefeated in Patriot League play. She tallied 17 points, seven rebounds and two assists. 

The Mountain Hawks will hit the road for a Wednesday matchup at Navy. Tip off is slated for 7 p.m.
