BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Lehigh men's lacrosse head coach WIll Scudder has announced the addition of Evan Lombardo as an assistant coach.Â
Lombardo comes to Lehigh following a one-year stint at Dartmouth.Â
"We are very grateful and excited to add Evan Lombardo to our coaching staff," Scudder said. "Evan has a great coaching pedigree, as his family has deep coaching roots in our sport. Evan has a fiery passion for the game and will be working closely in assisting Coach Licciardi with our offense."
As the offensive assistant at Dartmouth, Lombardo improved shooting percentage from 22% in 2022 to 29% in 2023, which is the highest program shooting percentage since 2006.Â
Lombardo also mentored Emett Paradine, the IVY League Rookie of the Year and Nate Davis, a second team All-IVY League honoree.Â
Prior to Dartmouth, Lombardo was a graduate assistant and a recruiting coordinator at the University of Lynchburg. At Lynchburg, Lombardo recruited student-athletes from 15 states. He also coached the man-up-unit in 2021 and 2022. In 2022, Lynchburg had the second-highest man-up percentage unit in the country (55.2%).
Lombardo received a master's in educational leadership and administration in 2022. He also played all four years at University of Lynchburg where he graduated with a bachelors in elementary education and teaching.Â
Lombardo was a two-time All-American and was named a USILA Scholar All-American in 2019. He was also All-ODAC Conference honoree in 2017, 2018 and 2019. Lombardo's 210 career goals were the third-most in ODAC history and the 23rd all-time in Division III history.Â
