
Lehigh Visits Colgate in Midweek Matchup

BETHLEHEM, Pa.- The Lehigh men's soccer team travels to Hamilton, N.Y., to take on Colgate on Wednesday at 7 p.m. in what is a first of three straight road games for the Mountain Hawks. Wednesday's game will be streamed on ESPN+.
Lehigh comes into the match with a 1-5-2 record (0-2 PL), and the Raiders are 3-5 (1-1 PL).
The Mountain Hawks are coming off of a 1-0 loss to Lafayette. The Leopards scored 15 minutes into the match, and Lehigh struggled to find the equalizer. Lafayette outshot Lehigh 12-7. First-year defender Trey Sheeler recorded two shots, with one shot sailing high on a free kick, which would have been the game-tying goal.
Junior goalkeeper Ryan Gross received a red card in the 88th minute after Gross touched the ball outside of the box. Tommy Chyzowych came in for Gross, making a save in two minutes of action.
Chyzowych appeared in eight games last season, making seven starts. Chyzowych recorded a 68.4% save percentage last season.
Lehigh and Colgate are both averaging .75 goals per game. Perry Kingson and Thomas Robertson lead the way for the Mountain Hawks, each recording two goals and an assist. Aidan Davock has scored a team-high of three goals for the Raiders.
The Raiders have dropped the last two games to Yale and Loyola after winning the Patriot League opener, taking down Lafayette 1-0. Davock scored the lone goal for Colgate.
Following Wednesday's game versus Colgate, Lehigh takes on Navy on Saturday at 12 p.m. in Annapolis, Md.
