Stephenson and Canoni Earn Weekly Honors

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - First-year Ella Stephenson was named the Patriot League Rookie of the Week while junior goalkeeper Jenny Canoni earned Goalkeeper of the Week honors, the league office announced Monday afternoon.

Stephenson scored the game-winner in Lehigh's 1-0 win over Boston University on Friday night. This was the first-career goal for the rookie from Mickleton, N.J.

Canoni made seven total saves in the two wins this weekend, including four critical saves in the rematch of the 2022 Patriot League Championship. On Sunday, the junior made three saves and allowed only one goal off a penalty stroke. The Bronxville, N.Y. native holds a 0.610 save percentage and 1.80 goals-against average.

Lehigh (7-2) heads to Colgate on Saturday for a league matchup followed by a meeting with Cornell on Sunday in Ithaca.
