Lehigh Earns NABC Team Award; Six Mountain Hawks Receive Individual Honors

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The Lehigh men's basketball garnered a Team Academic Excellence Award, announced by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) on Thursday. This marks the fourth consecutive season the Mountain Hawks have earned the award, which honors teams with a grade point average of 3.0 or higher during the 2022-23 academic year. Additionally, Dominic Parolin, Jayshen Saigal, and recent graduates Evan Taylor, Jake Betlow, Luke Traina and Reed Fenton were named to the NABC Honors Court.

The six earned individual honors as juniors or seniors with a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher at the conclusion of the 2022-23 academic year. Both Fenton and Taylor also earned a spot on the individual team last year.Â

Taylor was a All-Patriot League second team honoree and earned The John A. Cable Award, presented to the department's outstanding graduating male leader, at the Student-Athlete Awards Convocation. A rising senior, Parolin was selected to the Academic All-League team.Â
