OCCOQUAN RESERVOIR, Va. – The Lehigh men's rowing program's first varsity eight took home the Middle Atlantic Regional Conference Championship this afternoon, the first title in program history. Five Mountain Hawks also garnered spots on the MARC All-Conference teams.

The Mountain Hawks competed against Adrian (Mich.), Bucknell, The Catholic University of America (D.C), Franklin & Marshall, Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE), St. Mary's (Md.), Stockton, Villanova and Washington College (Md.)
The Brown and White were racing in heat two, going up against Stockton, St. Mary's., Adrian and MSOE. The Mountain Hawks captured the win in their heat by more than 12 seconds, finishing in 6:22.1 and earned a spot in the grand final.
In the grand final, Lehigh raced against Villanova, Adriana (Mich.), Bucknell, Catholic and St. Mary's (Md). The Mountain Hawks and Bucknell finished 2.1 seconds apart with Lehigh capturing the 2023 MARC Championship title with a time of 6:13.5.
