Lehigh Heads to Bucknell for the Bison Outdoor Classic

BETHLEHEM, Pa. — The Lehigh track and field programs are traveling to Lewisburg, Pa. to compete in the Bison Outdoor Classic hosted by Bucknell from Friday-Sunday, April 14-16.
The Bison Outdoor Classic will start Friday afternoon with decathlon events at 2 p.m. and heptathlon events beginning at 2:15 p.m. Saturday begins at 8 a.m. with more decathlon events with the first heptathlon event starting at 10 a.m. The first field events of the weekend are scheduled for 12:30 p.m. with the women's discus with the men to follow and the men's long jump starting at 1 p.m. followed by the women. Track events will begin at 1:30 p.m. with the 1,500m events and conclude after the men's 10,000m race, which is set to start at 10:55 p.m.
Sunday will kick off with track events, the women's and men's 3,000m races and will go all through the day, ending with the 4x800m relays and the 4x400m relays. The men's hammer, men's triple jump, women's shot put and women's pole vault invitational all are scheduled for 11 a.m. on Sunday with the women's javelin and women's pole vault will conclude the field events on Sunday, starting at 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. respectively.
Women's Top Patriot League Performers
First-year Laura Reigle holds the top spot in the league in the pole vault at a new school record height of 4.00m that she cleared at the Lehigh Games last week which garnered her a Patriot League Rookie of the Week.
The 4x100m and the 4x400m relay squads also are both ranked fourth in the Patriot League. The team of senior Ashley Griesmeyer and sophomores Stephanie Webb and Shelby Dejana and Gianna Mangili turned in a time of 48.03 seconds at the Monmouth Spring Opener on March 24 to sit in fourth in the league while the quartet of senior Anna Murphy, first-year Grace Kennedy, Struck and Mangili finished the 4x400m relay in a time of 3:55.67 at this past week's Lehigh Games.
Junior Ashley Struck sits in the top 10 in two different events, the 100m dash and the 200m dash, ranking 8th in the 200m with a time of 24.88 and ninth in the 100m with a time of 12.19. Junior Christina Yakaboski also has two top-10 finishes this season, ranking fifth in the 1,500m with a time of 4:34.23 and eighth in the 800m with a time of 2:14.49.\
Seniors Chae Kim and Ashley Griesmeyer are both listed in the top 10 in the 100m hurdles with Kim ranked sixth with a time of 14.76 and Griesmeyer eighth with a time of 14.78. Senior Lauren Powell sits ninth in the 400m hurdles with a mark of 1:05.24.
Junior Lindsay MacLellan is in eighth in the league with a time of 11:24.29 in the 3,000m steeplechase while sophomore Savanah Beavers is 10th with a time of 11:35.99. Both junior Kerry Perna and first-year Melanie LaCorte sit seventh in the high jump with marks of 1.60m while sophomores Lillian Mauger and Keisha Modi are eighth and ninth respectively in the long jump and sophomore Casey Talamini-Kelemen and junior Cialone are seventh and eighth in the triple jump.
Men's Top Patriot League Performers
Sophomore Patrez Thomas has the only top-three finish for Lehigh so far this season, sitting third in the 400m hurdles with a time of 54.41 seconds at the Monmouth Spring Opener on March 24. Sophomore Liam Lovering, this week's Patriot League Field Athlete of the Week, sits fourth in the discus with a mark of 50.58m that he threw at the Lehigh Games.
Lovering also sits 10th in the shot put with a distance of 15.57m and is right behind junior Alex Clevenger's mark of 15.60m. Junior Achilles Mouzakis currently is seventh in the league in the hammer throw with a mark of 55.01m that he just threw at the Lehigh-Lafayette Dual Meet and first-year Wil Jaques threw a distance of 59.65m at the Lehigh Games.
Sophomore Skyler Mott is fourth in the high jump at a height of 2.05m and fifth in the triple jump with a mark of 13.62m. Also finding himself in the top 10 in the triple jump is sophomore Mulenga Malama, who sits seventh with a distance of 13.24m and is seventh in the long jump as well with a mark of 6.93m. Senior Ian Scott is sixth in the long jump with a distance of 6.95m
Senior Kerem Ayhan ranks sixth in the league with a time of 1:52.62 in the 800m and junior Daniel Stipanov sits eighth in the 110m hurdles with a time of 14.90 seconds.
Both of Lehigh's relay squads sit in the top 10, with the team of seniors Amondo Lemmon, Joseph Cranley and Thomas Leitner and sophomore Ethan Hood sitting in fifth in the league in the 4x400m relay. The 4x100m squad of senior John Siani, juniors Drew Roman and Daniel Stipanov and Lemmon are currently ranked seventh in the League.

The Mountain Hawks' will make the short trip to the other side of Bethlehem when they compete in the Coach Pollard Invitational, hosted by Moravian University on Friday and Saturday, April 21-22.
