BETHLEHEM, Pa. - A trip to the Patriot League Championship is on the line for the Lehigh women's basketball team as the No. 3 seed Mountain Hawks are taking on No. 2 Holy Cross on Thursday in Worcester in the Patriot League Semifinals.

The Mountain Hawks defeated Bucknell 63-55 to get into the Patriot League Semifinals. This is Lehigh's third trip to the semifinals in the last four years. The Mountain Hawks didn't make it last year as the Bison defeated them in the Patriot League Quarterfinals.

Lehigh is 17-13 this season, and Holy Cross is 22-8. The Crusaders bested American 73-44 in the quarterfinals. Janelle Allen scored a game-high of 19 points to lead Holy Cross to victory.

In Lehigh's quarterfinal game, Mackenzie Kramer and Frannie Hottinger combined for 55 points to lead the Mountain Hawks to victory. Kramer had a game-high of 30 points, and Hottinger had 25 points. Hottinger also recorded 10 rebounds to tally her 16th double-double of the season.

Lehigh and Holy Cross met two times earlier this year. Both teams won on their home court. Lehigh suffered a heartbreaking 66-64 loss on Jan. 11 in Worcester. The Mountain Hawks were up by 13 points, but the Crusaders pulled off a comeback.

In the second meeting, Lehigh defeated Holy Cross 77-74 in overtime on Jan. 25. That marked the Crusaders first Patriot League loss of the season. Hotitinger led Lehigh in that game with 30 points, but it was Kramer who scored the game-winning shot and grabbed the rebound after a Holy Cross miss to pull off the upset.

The last time Lehigh and Holy Cross played in the Patriot League Tournament was in 2021. The Mountain Hawks hosted the Crusaders in the Patriot League Quarterfinals and came out with a 75-57 win at Stabler Arena.

Holy Cross is led by Bronagh Power-Cassidy, who is averaging 13.2 points per game. Janelle Allen and Lindsay Berger also average double digits. Allen puts up 10.5 points per game, and Berger puts up 10.1 points per game.

Lehigh is 30-48 all-time against Holy Cross.

The game will be broadcast on ESPN+ with audio coverage on Fox Sports Radio 94.7 FM and 1230 AM.

If the Mountain Hawks win, they play in the Patriot League Championship on March 12. They would play either Boston U. or Army.
