
Klebe Sets 800m School Record as Mountain Hawks Conclude Indoor Season at the ECAC/IC4A Indoor Championships

BOSTON — The Lehigh indoor track and field programs finished its 2022-23 season at the ECAC/IC4A Indoor Championships, hosted by Boston University this weekend.

The women's team collected 12 points for 24th out of 43 programs that earned points while the men's squad finished tied for 35th with the five points they collected.

First-year Abigail Klebe broke the 800-meter school record with a time of 2:08.68 in the finals on Sunday. That mark placed her fourth in the meet to earn five points for Lehigh.

Senior Kerem Ayhan, the Patriot League silver-medalist, also earned five points for the men's squad when he finished fourth in the 800-meter race in a time of 1:52.16. He broke the school record for this event in the prelims a day ago.

First-year Carter Bartz placed in a tie for ninth and claimed one point when he cleared a mark of 4.60 meters in the pole vault.

Junior Alex Clevenger and sophomore Liam Lovering started the morning off by competing in the shot put. Clevenger finished in ninth place with a mark of 15.60 meters while Lovering reached a mark of 15.39 meters for 13th place.

Sophomore Kevin Harvey competed in the 3,000-meter race and placed 14th with a time of 8:16.22 for a new personal best as well as fifth all-time in program history.
The Mountain Hawks will prepare for the upcoming outdoor track and field season, with their first meet on Saturday, March 18 at the Penn Challenge.
