BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Lehigh first-year Yuki Zhu has been named Patriot League Golfer of the Week, the league announced Wednesday. Zhu led a strong Lehigh showing at the SMSU Spring Classic, where the Mountain Hawks placed five players in the top 10 on the way to winning their first tournament title in four and a half years.

Zhu carded consecutive rounds of 74 to finish second earlier this week in Litchfield Park, Ariz., with a final total of four over par 148. She made five birdies in her opening round and two in Tuesday's second round to finish one stroke behind medalist Emily Shimkus of Colorad-Colorado Springs.

The Shanghai, China native led the way for five Mountain Hawks who placed in the top 10 earlier this week. Behind Zhu, sophomore Madison Pineda finished fourth and first-year Evelyn Wong claimed fifth place. Senior Iris Shin (ninth) and junior Meghna Grover (10th) completed the run of Mountain Hawks in the top 10.

Zhu is the first Lehigh women's golfer to earn Golfer of the Week honors since Grover was recognized last March.

The Mountain Hawks will return to action at William & Mary's Kingsmill Intercollegiate, March 27-28 in Williamsburg, Va.
