Lehigh to Host Lafayette in The Rivalry, presented by Lehigh Valley Orthopedic Institute

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - After a week off from competition, the Lehigh women's basketball team returns to Stabler Arena to take on Lafayette on Saturday at 4 p.m. in The Rivalry, presented by Lehigh Valley Orthopedic Institute. This game will also be Lehigh's National Girls and Women in Sports Day celebration and alumni day for the Mountain Hawks.
Lehigh women's basketball alumna and WNBA commissioner Cathy Engelbert will be getting honored as one of Lehigh's five Patriot League Trailblazers of Distinction. Former head coach and deputy director of athletics Sue Troyan will also be getting honored pregame for her 27 years as a head coach.
The Mountain Hawks are 10-11 (6-4 PL), while Lafayette is 8-12 (5-5 PL).
The Leopards have won their last four games, and the Mountain Hawks most recently suffered a loss at Boston University on Jan. 28, as the Terriers remained the league's lone unbeaten team in league play.
Despite Lafayette winning the most recent game, Lehigh is 56-48 all-time against Lafayette.
Lafayette won in Easton on Jan. 21, coming away with a 63-60 win. Lehigh's Frannie Hottinger and Lafayette's Makayla Andrews both tallied 21 points in the first meeting of the season. They are both also leading their respective teams in scoring this season.
Hottinger leads the Mountain Hawks and the Patriot League in points (20.8 points per game). She almost averages a double-double, recording 9.9 rebounds per game. Hottinger is 18th in the country in points per game and 29th in the country in rebounding (9.9).
Andrews is averaging 13. 2 points per game, which ranks ninth in the Patriot League.
Mackenzie Kramer is second in the league in scoring, putting up 16.8 points per game and shooting the three at a very efficient rate. The junior is 12th in the nation in three-point percentage (45.0%).
First-year Lily Fandre had 10 points against the Terriers, which marked the second time she finished in double-figures this season. She's averaging six points and 2.9 rebounds per game.
