Mountain Hawks Look to Carry Momentum vs. Seton Hall

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - After a two week break from competition, the Lehigh women's swimming and diving team will head to West Orange, N.J., to take on Seton Hall on Saturday at 12 p.m. Â
The Mountain Hawks are 2-1 this season after picking up wins against West Chester and Rider. Lehigh defeated the Golden Rams 138-103 on Oct. 20 and also pulled out a 211-78 victory over the Broncs on Oct. 21.Â
Seton Hall is 2-0 this season after defeating Rider 186-100 and beating Monmouth 189-83.Â
Mairin Ludwig earned Patriot League honorable mentions on Oct. 24 after Ludwig took home five first-place finishes in Lehigh's two wins. Against West Chester, Ludwig won the 200-yard freestyle (1:51.97), the 500-yard freestyle (5:01.27) and helped lead the 200-medley team to victory (1:47.34). Ludwig won the 500-yard free (5:08.64) and the 1000-yard free against Rider (10:37.14)
First-year diver Kate Whitaker recorded the first win of her career in Lehigh's wins. Whitaker won the one-meter dive against West Chester after scoring 229.73 points.Â
Fifth-year Sarah Hardy also was a bright spot as Hardy won all four events she competed in against the Broncs. Hardy won the 100-yard backstroke (59.70), the 200-yard butterfly (2:05.34), the 200-yard backstroke (2:10.18) and helped lead the 200-yard freestyle relay team to a victory.Â
Noel Fresa, Danielle Prekop and Julia Stevens also recorded multiple first-place finishes against West Chester and Rider.
Lehigh and Seton Hall last met last season. The Mountain Hawks were able to pull out a 122-119 victory against the Pirates.Â
Cailtin Deitch, Sarah Gill, Sarah Hardy and Danielle Prekop all tallied first-place finishes against Seton Hall last season.Â
Following Lehigh's meet against Seton Hall, the Mountain Hawks will host Lafayette on Nov. 17.Â
