BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Coming off of a second-place finish at the Lehigh Invitational last Friday, the Lehigh women's cross country team is hitting the road for the first time this season. The Mountain Hawks are heading to University Park, Pa. to compete in the Harry Groves Invitational at 10 a.m. on Friday.

Lehigh showed no signs of rust in its season-opener last Friday. The Mountain Hawks had four runners in the top 20 and two runners in the top ten overall.

Senior Madison Zaun, who was named Patriot League Runner of the Week, was Lehigh's top finisher. She finished sixth overall with a time of 22:06.3.

Following close behind Zaun was first-year Lucy Afanasewicz. Afanasewicz finished her first 6k with a time of 22:21.9 to secure a ninth-place finish overall and a second-place finish for Lehigh.

Sophomore Savanah Beavers finished third for the Mountain Hawks last Friday. Beavers finished the race in 22:48.7 to grab a 14th-place finish overall.

The Mountain Hawks will compete against American, Navy, Penn, Penn State, St. Joseph's, Syracuse, West Virginia, and Youngstown State. Live results for Friday's meet can be found here.
