ANNAPOLIS, Md. – The Lehigh men's swimming and diving team put together strong swims in their final day of competition at Day 4 of the Patriot League Championships at Lejeune Hall. The Mountain Hawks ended up finishing the meet in sixth place at 201 points.
Â
"I thought the senior men took the charge on the last day," said head coach Rob Herb. "They brought a big finish to their final Patriots. You want meets to end well and they did just that."
Â
Fresh off claiming silver on Friday night in the 50-yard backstroke, senior Owen Thomas took seventh in the 200-yard back A-final, swimming to a time of 1:50.12.
Â
Senior Glenn Lasco finished fifth in the 100-yard freestyle (44.50) and to close out the meet in the 400-yard freestyle relay, Aiden McCurley (46.06), Alex Patti (45.89), Joe Huber (46.29) and Lasco (44.34) put together a sixth-place finish at a time of 3:02.58.
Â
Both Connor Sept (200 Breast) and Connor Goodyear (200 Fly) qualified for B-Finals, but as alternates, thus not getting a chance to compete for points Saturday evening.
Â
"I also want to shout-out associate head coach Erin Matyus, who had a lot to juggle with a big meet this week," Herb said. "She kept this ship moving forward, a truly amazing job by Coach Erin."
