BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Following a January which saw six of its 10 games away from home, the Lehigh men's basketball team begins February with two straight at home and four of its first five, beginning on Wednesday night vs. Navy on Salute to Service Presented by Weis Markets. Gametime is set for 7 p.m. on ESPN+. The Mountain Hawks enter Wednesday 6-4 in Patriot League play, but only a game behind Navy and Army for second, who are each 7-3.

As part of Salute to Service presented by Weis Markets, service members (any active or retired military, first responders or healthcare workers) can receive a complimentary ticket to Wednesday's game by clicking here.

Most recently, Lehigh dropped a tough 67-65 final at Holy Cross in a game it was leading for 34:18. The Crusaders pulled in front with 5:01 remaining then after four straight Mountain Hawk points gave them a 56-55 lead, Holy Cross took the lead for good at the 2:58 mark. That continued a stretch of six games in which Lehigh alternated wins and losses. In league play, Lehigh is 3-0 after defeats, as the Mountain Hawks will put that undefeated mark on the line Wednesday.

Senior Jeameril Wilson led the way on Friday, tallying his second double-double of the season and fourth of his career - recording 16 points and 13 rebounds. He had 10 points and seven boards in the second half alone. First years Keith Higgins Jr. and Tyler Whitney-Sidney added 13 and 11 points, respectively. On Monday, Whitney-Sidney was recognized with Patriot League Rookie of the Week honors, marking his first-career weekly honors after Higgins won the previous three Rookie of the Week awards. Whitney-Sidney also recorded career highs in points (19) and assists (4) in last Wednesday's win over Army.

The Mountain Hawks ended the first half at Holy Cross hitting seven of their final 10 3-pointers. Lehigh's biggest struggle for the game was shooting from inside the arc; it finished the game 12-of-36 from two (33.3 percent) and 9-of-17 from three (52.9 percent). It was the third time in the last four games and fourth time in the last six at 50 percent or better from deep.

Despite struggling a bit on Friday, junior Evan Taylor still posted eight points and six rebounds. On the season, he's the only play in the top in the league in scoring (ninth - 14.0), rebounding (seventh - 6.1) and blocks (third - 1.1) on the season. Last time against Navy - which was just two weeks ago - Taylor tallied a game-high 21 points (14 coming in the first half).

Tied for first in the league standings at 7-3 in league play, Navy enters Wednesday just one game ahead of the Mountain Hawks. The Midshipmen are 14-7 overall. Most recently, Navy pulled out a 47-45 defensive battle against American on Saturday. John Carter Jr. leads Navy in scoring, averaging 13.5 points per game. Greg Summers is second (9.9) while Tyler Nelson's 8.1 points per contest are third. Summers leads the Mids in rebounding (5.2 per game) while forward Daniel Deaver leads Navy in assists with 42 in 21 games. Navy began the season with a big 66-58 win over Virginia, who entered the season ranked in the top 25 nationally.

Lehigh beat Navy on Jan. 19 to snap a four-game losing streak in the all-time series. That pulled the Mountain Hawks within 53-33 in the all-time series. Despite the Midshipmen winning four of the last five and six of the last nine, Lehigh is still 17-8 over its last 25 meetings. Three seasons ago, the Mountain Hawks split the season series (winning 85-74 at Navy and 83-57 at home). The teams first met in 1910-11, a 31-24 Navy victory. Lehigh's first win was in 1925-26 by a 25-23 final.

After Wednesday's game, the Mountain Hawks remain home to host Boston University on Saturday at 2 p.m.
