BETHLEHEM, Pa- The Lehigh men's lacrosse team has announced its fall schedule.Â
The Mountain Hawks will first compete in the Nick Colleluori Classic at Hofstra on Oct. 8 against Quinnipiac at 12:45 p.m. and Hofstra at 2:45 p.m.
Nick, "HEAD" Colleuluori, was a former Hofstra men's lacrosse player who lost his life to Cancer. Colleluori founded the HEADstrong foundation, which offers support to families who have been impacted by cancer.
The Mountain Hawks have set a goal to raise $10,000 as a team for Headstrong.
The following weekend, Lehigh is competing in the American Boy Fall Brawl in Centreville, Virginia, at Centreville High School on Oct. 16. The Mountain Hawks will face Virginia, the 2021 national champions, at 10:45 a.m. and will close their fall ball schedule against Richmond at 1:10 p.m.
The American Boy Foundation was started after Matt Meagle, a former lacrosse player, passed away due to a drug overdose in 2017. The first American Boy Fall Brawl game was played in 2019, and it strives to change the stigma around addiction.
Tickets to the American Boy Fall Brawl are $12, and the funds go right back to the American Boy Foundation.Â
