WEST POINT, N.Y. – Fifth year senior Ann Foley once again dominated the pool in her events, swimming to three first-place finishes on the night, but it wasn't enough to lift the Lehigh women's swimming and diving team to victory over Army West Point, falling 190-109 Friday night at Crandall Pool. The loss is the Mountain Hawks' (4-3, 2-2 PL) third straight to conclude the dual meet season for the 2021-22 campaign.
Foley totaled three of Lehigh's six first-place finishes for the meet, while first years Natalie Martin and Maggie Mikalic each swam to victories in their events, while a relay team got the Mountain Hawks a win in the final event of the evening.
Martin opened up the night with a win in the 1000-yard freestyle with a time of 10:33.79. Mikalic came in second with a time of 10:38.08.
Foley got her first of three wins in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:51.82. She also picked up victories in the 50-yard free (23.57) and the 100-yard free (51.41).
Mikalic won the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:09.68 while Martin finished in second this time around at 5:12.07.
The Mountain Hawks closed the night with a victory in the 400-yard free relay as the team of Ashley Carper, Noel Fresa, Mikalic and Foley swam to a time of 3:30.00.
Lehigh competes in the final meet before Patriot League Championships next weekend at the ESU Invite hosted by East Stroudsburg. The quad-meet will feature ESU, Kutztown and Millersville. The event kicks off at 1 p.m.
