Sisselberger Earns Fifth Straight Patriot League Faceoff Specialist of the Week Award

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – After a 20-of-22 performance at Villanova Saturday, Lehigh men's lacrosse junior Mike Sisselberger has been named Patriot League Faceoff Specialist of the Week, as announced on Monday. The award marks Sisselberger's fifth straight and sixth this season, which is a new Patriot League record (breaking the mark previously held by Navy's Joe Varello in 2017).

Saturday marked Sisselberger's fewest losses of the season. After a 9-of-11 start, he won his final 11 faceoffs of the game and finished with eight groundballs. Sisselberger has won 84-of-100 faceoffs over the last four games (84.0 percent) to up his season total to 80.3 (192-of-239) with 135 groundballs.

The Mountain Hawks return to action on Friday when they host either Boston University or Colgate in the Patriot League Quarterfinals. Gametime is set for 4 p.m. on CBS Sports Network.
