BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Inside Lacrosse announced its midseason All-Americans on Thursday night, which featured a trio of Lehigh men's lacrosse standouts. Junior faceoff specialist Mike Sisselberger was named to the first team, senior goaltender James Spence to the second team and junior defenseman Anthony Tangredi to the third team. Those three have been integral in the Mountain Hawks' 5-0 record, as one of just four undefeated teams in the nation entering the weekend. The midseason All-Americans were voted on by members of the media.

Sisselberger is leading the country in faceoff winning percentage at 77.6 percent, having won 90-of-116 with 60 groundballs. His 12.20 groundballs per contest are also No. 1 nationally. Sisselberger is a two-time Patriot League Faceoff Specialist of the Week, having lost no more than seven faceoffs in any game (even with taking at least 19 faceoffs in all five contests so far). Over the last two weeks, Sisselberger has won 19-of-25 faceoffs with 15 groundballs at Colgate, then 23-of-27 with 14 groundballs vs. Army West Point. He has also scored three goals on the season.

Spence stands fourth in the country in save percentage (61.1) and fifth in goals against average (7.80). In the second game of the season, Spence tied a career-high 17 saves, allowing just six goals, in a 10-6 win over No. 10 Loyola. That earned him Patriot League Goalie of the Week honors. He followed with a 16-save performance, allowing only six goals, at Bucknell. Last time out, Spence made 10 saves, including two clutch stops in the final minute of a one-goal game, to help preserve Lehigh's 13-12 victory over No. 7 Army West Point.

An anchor of Lehigh's eighth-ranked scoring defense, Tangredi stands No. 6 in the nation in caused turnovers per contest, owning 11 through five games. Included was a career high seven at Bucknell, falling just one shy of tying an NCAA record. The game prior, he had three groundballs and three caused turnovers in the win over Loyola. As a team, the Mountain Hawks have allowed just eight goals per game. Tangredi was named an honorable mention postseason All-American by Inside Lacrosse following the pandemic-shortened 2020 season.

Now ranked No. 7 in the Inside Lacrosse/Media Poll, Lehigh will remain home on Saturday to host No. 19 Navy at 4 p.m. on ESPN+.
