Schedule Updates For Lehigh Wrestling; EIWA Championships Info Announced

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Lehigh has announced several updates to its February wrestling schedule. The start time for the Mountain Hawks' dual with Rider on Sunday, Feb. 7 has been moved up an hour to 1 p.m. In addition, Lehigh has added a match with EIWA rival American, set for Saturday, Feb. 13 at 4 p.m. inside Leeman-Turner Arena at Grace Hall.
This weekend, the Mountain Hawks will wrestle two duals on Saturday, against Army West Point (2 p.m.) and No. 14 North Carolina (5 p.m.) before welcoming Rider at 1 p.m. on Sunday.
Lehigh will close out the dual meet season next weekend with the dual against American on Feb. 13, followed by a 2 p.m. match with Bucknell on Sunday, Feb. 14.
All five remaining duals will be televised on Service Electric Network and streamed at Lehighsports.com/watch. Audio coverage for all duals with the exception of Army West Point will also be available on Fox Sports Radio 1230/1320 AM and 94.7 FM Allentown and LVFoxSports.com.
On Tuesday, the EIWA announced plans to hold the 117th EIWA Championships as a one-day event on Friday, Feb. 26, at a neutral site: Spooky Nook Sports Complex in Manheim, Pa.
Ten EIWA institutions are expected to compete in the one day event that will begin at 10 a.m., with championship and placement matches set to begin at 5:30 p.m. No spectators or outside media will be permitted to attend the championship. Lehigh has won the last three EIWA Tournament team titles and has crowned 11 individual champions over those three tournaments.
The Mountain Hawks (2-2) re-entered the NWCA Top 25 at No. 25 following a 2-0 weekend in their home debut that featured a come-from-behind 19-16 win over then-No. 25 Binghamton and a 46-0 win over LIU that as Lehigh's first shutout victory in nearly five years.
